About Jailer
The 2023 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film 'Jailer' has been directed by Nelson and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. Apart from Rajinikanth, 'Jailer' also stars Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Sunil, Mirnaa Menon in supporting roles. Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar and Tamannaah Bhatia make cameo appearances.
The movie, which was given the working title 'Thalaivar 169' because it was Rajinikanth's 169th film, was formally announced in February 2022. The official title of 'Jailer' was revealed in June. The principal photography commenced in Chennai in August 2022 and was completed in June 2023.
