Janhvi Kapoor is famous for being the late Superstar diva, Sridevi's daughter. On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, Janhvi continued a cherished tradition by visiting the Tirupati temple on the birth anniversary of her late mother, Sridevi. This annual pilgrimage is a heartfelt tribute to Sridevi, who was known for her deep spiritual beliefs and frequent visits to the temple.
Janhvi, who has been following in her mother's footsteps both on and off the screen, took to Instagram to share glimpses of her visit. She posted three pictures, starting with an image of the temple steps, symbolizing her ritual of walking up to the temple on foot. The caption read, "Happy birthday Mumma. I love you."
The second picture she shared was a touching throwback from her childhood. In the photo, a young Janhvi is seen in a white top with matching ribbons in her pigtails, while Sridevi, dressed in a beige top, lovingly embraces her daughter. The final image showcased Janhvi's serene look from her temple visit. She radiated grace in a yellow silk sari paired with a turquoise blouse adorned with golden prints. Completing her traditional look with golden jewellery, including earrings, a necklace, and a kamarband, Janhvi stood with closed eyes, seemingly lost in prayer.
Sridevi, a legendary actress whose career spanned over five decades, was a beloved figure in Indian cinema. She left an indelible mark with her performances in films across various languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Her iconic roles in movies like Chandni, Mr. India and English Vinglish continue to be celebrated by fans. Sridevi tragically passed away in 2018, but her legacy lives on through her daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.

Earlier in the day, Khushi Kapoor also remembered their mother by sharing a childhood picture with Janhvi and Sridevi on Instagram. Boney Kapoor, Sridevi's husband, posted a picture from her 2012 film English Vinglish, with the heartfelt caption, "Happy birthday jaan."
Janhvi Kapoor, who is steadily making her mark in the film industry, is set to appear in several upcoming projects, including Devara: Part 1, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and her Tamil debut alongside Suriya.
