Janhvi Kapoor recently expressed her admiration for Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's upcoming show, Citadel: Honey Bunny, which is set to premiere on November 7, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, she praised the duo, saying, “They’ve killed it.”
The excitement surrounding Citadel: Honey Bunny has been building with the release of teasers and trailers, showcasing the chemistry between Dhawan and Prabhu. Janhvi, who has worked closely with Varun in Bawaal (2023), shared her support for their new project, emphasizing their hard work and talent. She stated, "I think it’s amazing. I think he and Samantha have absolutely killed it, and I hope that whatever they do, they always find success because they are so hardworking and talented. As for Honey Bunny, it looks great!"

In this new series, Samantha portrays Honey, a character with a young daughter named Nadia. The storyline unfolds as Honey recounts her past life as a spy to her daughter, revealing her encounters with Varun's character, Bunny. The duo's journey takes them into a secret agency focused on maintaining peace, but their mission creates tension that leads to a separation. As fate would have it, their paths cross again years later, setting the stage for a captivating narrative.
Citadel: Honey Bunny serves as the Indian adaptation of the original Citadel, which stars Priyanka Chopra. The series blends elements of espionage, action, and drama, as Bunny, a stuntman, brings Honey, an actress facing career challenges, into a world filled with danger and intrigue. As they confront the issues from their past, they must come together to protect their daughter, Nadia. Directed by Raj & DK, the series is developed by Sita R. Menon and produced by D2R Films and Amazon MGM Studios, with executive production from The Russo Brothers' AGBO.
