Bollywood’s renowned screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar shared his opinion on Kabir Khan’s film Chandu Champion. He also said that Kartik Aaryan was a ‘delightful surprise in a dramatic role’. He also appreciated the entire team of the movie specifically. Javed Akhtar took to his ‘X’ account (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote “Watched Chandu Champion. Who would have believed it if it not would have been a 100% true story .particularly enjoyed the 2nd half. Another feather in Kabir khan’s cap . Kartik is a delightful surprise in a dramatic role . Vijay Raaz is brilliant. Cinematographer Sudeep Chatterji’ s work is mind blowing . My hats off to the editor.”

After the tweet, fans started sharing their views on it. A fan wrote, “If it’s from The Javed Akhtar himself , we must watch.” A comment read, “Happy for the praise Kartik Aryan is getting for his performance. I always wondered why some people troll him so much for apparently no reason.”

“Particularly got bored in the second half. But yes still gobsmacked to know that it was based on a real story,” said an online user. A fan said, “Very much true sir Kartik has suprised one and all with a fablous performance.” A comment read, “If you are praising it Then must go see it in theatre.”

Earlier, Kartik Aaryan shared that he lost a lot of body fat for this film. In an Instagram post, Kartik wrote “From 39 % body fat to 7 % body fat !! 🙏🏻 From being an ‘insomniac’ to turning into a ‘fitness enthusiast’, it’s surely a journey of one and half years to remember for me. The life of the living legend Mr Murlikant Petkar, not only made me a stronger human being but also, further installed the belief that if you can dream it, then you can achieve it... nothing is impossible 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Pehle mummy kehti thi, ‘beta gym jao’ lekin aaj kal haalaat aise hain ki unhe call karke bolna padta hai, ‘beta gym se vapas aa jao.”
