Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming venture ‘Jawan’ is expected to be one of the biggest openers in King Khan’s career. The actor for the first time will be seen in a bald look and has crossed several necessary miles being successful to create and maintain the buzz around the film. ‘Jawan’ marks his second venture of 2023, as ‘Pathaan’ opened to Rs 57 Crore at the box office, but ‘Jawan’ might cross the mark.
‘Jawan’ is expected to collect a minimum Rs 75 Crore at the box office on Day 1. According to trade analyst Akshaye Rathi, the film is one of the most awaited and hyped films in 2023. In a conversation with India Today, the COO of BookMyShow, Ashish Saksena said, “The upcoming weekend with a power-packed release is poised to welcome a multitude of cinema enthusiasts from all corners of the country, as it brings forth an exciting cinematic experience encompassing action, drama and thrills in a vivacious mix of languages.”

He continued, “Jawan’s release has been much-awaited by fans across the world and India, owing to the fantastic cast, remarkable storytelling prowess of director Atlee Kumar and the enchanting musical compositions by Anirudh Ravichander. The unmistakable charisma and enchantment of Shah Rukh Khan is enthralling, promising a diverse portrayal of characters that will captivate the audience."

The film is already touted to be a winner at the box office. Akshaye Rathi says, “It is a slightly ambitious prediction but what I really see happening, in terms of worldwide net box office, is Rs 400 crore on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And this is a worldwide net, so India, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and overseas.”
Shah Rukh Khan marked his return after four years with ‘Pathaan’, which minted Rs 543.05 Crore in India. ‘Jawan’ on the other hand is expected to touch Rs 400 Crore in its opening weekend itself.

‘Jawan’ is written and directed by Atlee. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. ‘Jawan’ also features Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, and Ridhi Dogra in pivotal roles. The film marks a special cameo of Deepika Padukone. ‘Jawan’ will hit theatres on September 7 and will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
