‘Jawan’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles and is helmed by filmmaker Atlee. As the film will hit theatres on September 7, ahead of the film’s release, a series of tweets online claimed that special screenings of ‘Jawan’ took place internationally with the first reviews to be not good. The series started on Monday evening with several accounts on X (formerly Twitter) with massive fan-following claiming that they watched the film.
The accounts further claimed that as part of the censor board screenings in various countries, Shah Rukh Khan led ‘Jawan’ failed to impress them. One of the tweet read, “Today we watched most awaited film #Jawan at the censor board office of #Singapore. It’s a torture and simply the worst film of 2023.”

However, legit trade experts and fans of Shah Rukh Khan quickly came to aid and clarified that the online reviews are fake and urged fans not to believe them. Trade analyst Atul Mohan wrote, “Ignore all the false reviews and overseas censor reports of #Jawan. Censor board office hai ya public garden jo koi bhi ghus jata hai?"

Shah Rukh Khan’s popular fan club also shared the post and wrote, “#Jawan has not undergone any special screening. The reports from self-proclaimed ‘critics’ who claim to have seen the film are not genuine. Please do not be deceived by these false reviews!" Soon, fans quickly spread the word on X, making the hashtag “Say No To Fake Reviews (#SayNoToFakeReviews)" trend on the social media platform.
Talking about the film, ‘Jawan’ is produced by Gauri Khan and Guarav Verma. The film is presented by Red Chillies Entertainment and will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. ‘Jawan’ was certified last month and has been granted a U/A certificate by the Censor Board with the run time of the film to be around 2 hours and 49 minutes.
