Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster hit ‘Jawan’ has claimed the top spot in Google’s most-searched movies of 2023 list in India. Google released the top trending search list on December 11 (Monday) and the list of movies had films from both Bollywood and the South-Indian film industry. 

Two of Shah Rukh Khan’s recent releases, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathan’ made it to the top-5 list in the movies section indicating its popularity among the audiences. ‘Jawan’ came first while ‘Pathan’ got the 5th spot. The second and third spots were occupied by Sunny Deol’s hit movie ‘Gadar 2’ and the globally talked-about movie ‘Oppenheimer’ by Christopher Nolan. Prabhas starrer ‘Adipurush’ got the 4th spot after receiving negative reviews from both the audiences and critics because of its era-inappropriate dialogues, costumes and excessive use of VFX. 

Other talked-about movies such as 'The Kerala Story' and 'Tiger 3' are also a part of the list while two Tamil-language movies 'Leo 3' and 'Varisu' also made it to the 'top-10 most searched movies in India' list on Google.

Google released a press release for its ‘Year In Search 2023’ that revealed Jawan was the most searched local film and the third most searched film globally. The announcement also mentioned that Gadar 2 and Pathaan secured top spots as trending local and worldwide films.
