Television actress Jennifer Winget recently opened up about a missed opportunity in her career during a conversation with Times Now. She revealed that she had auditioned for a role in the popular series The Night Manager, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala. Despite her enthusiasm for the project, Jennifer did not land the role.
Jennifer shared her thoughts on the disappointment, stating, "I had auditioned for The Night Manager but I didn’t get it. Aisa bahut baar huya hai. And I loved the original show." She mentioned that she had auditioned specifically for the role played by Sobhita Dhulipala. Reflecting on the experience, she added, "And it had Aditya Roy Kapur! But it’s okay!"
Jennifer emphasized that she tries not to dwell on rejections. "Of course, you feel upset and sad, but life goes on and something better comes along. I truly believe that every time something has not worked out for me, something even better has happened."
The Night Manager marked the digital debut of Aditya Roy Kapur, who plays Shaan SenGupta, an army officer-turned-hotel manager who goes undercover in the dangerous world of arms dealing. The series, which has been well-received by audiences, is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
Jennifer Winget, known for her versatile acting skills, has had a successful career in television. She gained immense popularity for her portrayal of Maya Mehrotra in the TV serial Beyhadh and also for her role as Kumud in the Star Plus show Saraswatichandra. Beyhadh was renewed for a second season, captivating viewers with its intriguing storyline and Jennifer's role as a stylish antagonist. The show became one of the most beloved daily soaps on Indian television, adding to Jennifer's acclaim.
Most recently, Jennifer was seen in the series Raisinghani vs Raisinghani, which premiered on SonyLIV in February and also starred Reem Shaikh. On television, her last appearance was in Beyhadh 2. Jennifer made her OTT debut with Code M, further showcasing her versatility as an actress.
