Fans of South Korean dramas are in for a treat as Ji Chang Wook and Son Ye Jin are reportedly in talks to star in Netflix's upcoming series, Untold Scandal. According to recent K-media reports, the two megastars are expected to headline the project, which is a remake of the 2003 South Korean film of the same name.

The original Untold Scandal, directed by Lee Jae Yong, was adapted from the French novel Dangerous Liaisons by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. Set during the Joseon Dynasty, the film was praised for its artistic quality and bold storytelling, garnering over 3 million viewers and numerous accolades both domestically and internationally.

In the 2003 version, the plot follows Lady Cho (played by Lee Mi Suk), who, upon discovering her husband's attraction to another woman, enlists her cousin, Jo Won (played by Bae Yong Joon), to seduce the woman before her husband can. However, things take an unexpected turn when Jo Won falls for Lady Suk (Jeon Do Yeon), leading to a series of lustful and devastating consequences.

In the upcoming Netflix adaptation, Ji Chang Wook is expected to take on the role of Jo Won, while Son Ye Jin will likely play Lady Cho. The series will be directed by Jung Ji Woo, known for his work on Tune in for Love and Eungyo. Production is slated to begin in March 2025, with the show set to premiere on Netflix afterwards.

This potential pairing of Ji Chang Wook and Son Ye Jin has already generated buzz among fans, who are eager to see their chemistry in this intense and complex romance. Both stars have been busy with various projects recently—Ji Chang Wook with Queen Woo and the upcoming Gangnam B-Side, while Son Ye Jin is returning to dramas after taking a break following her second wedding anniversary with Crash Landing on You co-star Hyun Bin.
