Bollywood actor Govinda and his nephew, comedian Krushna Abhishek, have ended their seven-year-long family feud. The reconciliation came after Govinda was hospitalized following an accidental shooting incident earlier this month. Krushna, who was touring in Australia at the time, visited his uncle upon his return to India, marking the first steps toward mending their relationship.
In an interview with ETimes, Krushna confirmed the news, saying, "We’ve finally buried the hatchet and moved on." He shared how emotional the reunion was, especially when he met Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja. “It felt like half of my vanvaas (exile) was over,” Krushna said, recalling the moment he hugged Tina.

During their meeting, Krushna and Govinda shared laughs, reminisced about old times and put aside the differences that had kept them apart. “We joked, and it felt just like before. I’m glad there was no mention of the past,” Krushna added. Though Krushna couldn’t meet Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, he admitted being a little nervous about facing her, knowing she might scold him.
The longstanding feud between Krushna and Govinda had become public over the years, with both sides making accusations. The conflict began when Govinda expressed displeasure at Krushna for making jokes about him on television. Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, had also distanced herself from Krushna and his family. However, with this reconciliation, it seems all issues have finally been resolved. Krushna now intends to maintain a strong bond with his uncle, stating that he plans to visit more often and also meet his aunt soon. Giving an update on Govinda’s health, Krushna mentioned that his uncle is recovering well and is able to move around the house with the help of crutches.
