Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira's latest released movie Jodi faced setbacks ahead of its theatrical rekease. The movie hit the theatres on May 5, 2023 and it has been doig wonders at the Box Office. Diljit Dosanjh-starrer has managed to captivate the hearts of international audience as well.
According to a report in Deadline, Jodi earned $734,000 in the first two days after it released on just 125 screens in the US. This is a huge number for a Punjabi movie releasing in a English speaking market.

According to Sacnilk, Jodi started slow run at the Box Office. The film could only earn Rs 65 lakh, but after four days of its releae, the movie has earned Rs 4 crore gross in the domestic market. Jodi's oversees collection stands at Rs 8 crore, taking its overall collection to Rs 12 crore.
Recently, a local court had stayed the release of Jodi Teri Meri. Before being released in the domestic market, Jodi was the subject of significant debate. The film, allegedly based on the lives of Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his second wife Bibi Amarjot Kaur, ran into legal trouble after Patiala-based Ishdeep Randhawa filed a lawsuit, asserting that Chamkila's first wife Gurmail Kaur had already sold his father Gurdev Singh the exclusive rights to make Chamkila's biopic. November 2022 saw the passing of Gurdev Singh.
