John Abraham recently named two people whom he really cares about in the industry Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra. The Diplomat actor said that he takes their advice very seriously. John shared that he even consulted with Karan Johar before he starred in Parmanu after a four years of gap between his films. The star also opened up about his equation with the filmmaker. He also talked about the criticism that Karan faces often online. John called himself a supporter of Karan Johar. 

In an interview with Filmfare, John Abraham said “The other person who I really love, and care about is Karan (Johar). I think he is one of the most wonderful people I have met. I don’t have any work with him in a long time, but he has always been there for me.” 

He added, “I didn’t have a release for four years and obviously, as usual, my obituary was written. I wanted to show Parmanu to someone to get some kind of reaction and I called in Karan. I said, ‘Just see this film and just make sense of it and tell me’. He saw it and he advised ‘This is good, this is so not good’. There is a lot of criticism around Karan, but I am his strong supporter. I believe that he doesn’t deserve that.” 

John Abraham’s The Diplomat released in theatres on March 14, 2025. The movie also features Sadia Khateeb, Prapti Shukla, Jagjeet Sandhu, Ashwath Bhatt, Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Benjamin Gilani and Vidhatri Bandi in key roles. The film has been directed by Shivam Nair. According to reports, the film was made on a budget of Rs 50 crore.
