Jonita Gandhi, known for her captivating voice and popular hits like Gilehriyaan from Dangal (2016) and Aahista from Laila Majnu (2018), is all set to open for Dua Lipa’s much-anticipated concert in Mumbai this November. The singer is thrilled about the opportunity to perform before one of her favourite pop stars, describing the chance as an "exciting phase" in her career.

As per Hindustan Times, Gandhi expressed her admiration for Dua Lipa, recalling the first time she heard the British pop sensation's hit song New Rules in 2017, which left a lasting impression on her. “I love her music,” Jonita shared enthusiastically. While the setlist for her opening act is still under wraps, Jonita assured fans that she has plenty of surprises in store. “I’m definitely going to perform as many of my songs as I can,” she said, eager to showcase her talent on such a prominent stage.

The buzz around international artists visiting India is palpable, with Dua Lipa, Alan Walker and Bryan Adams among those set to perform this year. Gandhi, who recently performed in Colombo and the United States, affirmed that concertgoers abroad are equally excited to see Indian artists perform. "When people live far away from their favourite artists, it adds to the hype of them performing in your city," she explained.
