South Superstar Jr NTR paid tribute to his grandfather NT Ramarao on his 101st birth anniversary at NTR Ghat on 28th May. His half-brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram also joined him at the Ghat. Tarak’s video is going viral on social media, where he can be seen with folded hands in front of the memorial. He also sat on the ground along with Kalyan to observe a moment of silence for the late politician. Ramarao’s son, actor turned politician Nandamuri Balakrishna was also present there. 

One of the fan pages of Jr NTR shared the video and wrote, “Our Hero paid tributes to Sr. NTR Garu at NTR Ghat On the Occasion of 100th Birthday Anniversary.”

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) was a veteran actor, who worked in films from 1949 to 1993. The legendary actor then turned politician and formed the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He then served three times as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh between 1983 and 1995. NTR passed away at the age of 72 on 18th January 1996.

On a professional note, Jr NTR is currently working on War 2 directed by Ayan Mukerji. The movie also stars Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Kiara Advani and Shabir Ahluwalia in significant roles. Apart from this, he will also be seen in Devara: Part 1 alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film also features Chaitra Rai, Saif Ali Khan, Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma, Meka Srikanth, Kalaiyarasan, Ramya Krishnan, Prakash Raj, and Abhimanyu Singh in pivotal roles. It is slated to release on 10th October this year. 

He is also working on a project with acclaimed filmmaker Prashanth Neel for his movie NTR31. As per reports, the film's shooting is scheduled to start in October this year. The movie is expected to be action-packed as well as rich in emotional drama.
