Jr NTR is going to treat his fans with a new movie soon. The pooja ceremony for Jr NTR's eagerly awaited collaboration with director Prashanth Neel took place this morning in Hyderabad. The project, tentatively titled NTR 31 or NTR Neel, officially began production today, and the filmmakers have announced an exciting release date: January 9, 2026.

The production company, Mythri Movie Makers, shared the news alongside a striking poster on X (formerly Twitter). The message accompanying the poster promised a cinematic experience, stating, “This time, the earth will tremble under his reign! #NTRNeel will step onto the soil on January 9th, 2026.”

The actor’s team also celebrated the pooja ceremony by sharing photos featuring Jr NTR with his wife, Lakshmi Pranathi, his brother Kalyan Ram, and director Prashanth Neel. They expressed enthusiasm for the film, saying, “And so it begins... #NTRNeel Pooja Ceremony took place today and sets the stage to redefine Mass Explosion on the Big Screens.”

Fans are buzzing with excitement about this major project, which was first announced on Jr NTR’s birthday in 2022. The shooting for the film is expected to start in September, following the completion of Jr NTR’s current project, Devara: Part 1. While details about the cast and crew are still under wraps, there is speculation that the film might be titled Dragon, although this has not been confirmed.

The announcement has sparked a lot of discussion among fans, many of whom have taken to social media to express their anticipation. One fan noted, “The most awaited project,” while another highlighted its strategic release during the Sankrathi festival in 2026.

Additionally, fans are examining the poster for hidden clues, with some pointing out the numbers and words—1969, Gold, Bhutan, Pakistan, China, India—that might suggest a connection to Neel’s previous work in the KGF franchise. One fan even commented on the intriguing twist with the year 1969, prompting speculation about potential links to the KGF narrative.
