Kabir Khan has been creating buzz about his next directorial project after the success of Chandu Champion. The director, who previously collaborated with Katrina Kaif in movies like New York and Ek Tha Tiger, has formed a bond beyond professional boundaries, developing a strong personal friendship with her. Now, according to the latest rumors, he is set to work with her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal. Recently, he shared his plans to collaborate with the Chhaava actor.
Kabir Khan responded to rumours about working with Vicky Kaushal. In a conversation with News18, he hinted that the reports might not entirely incorrect, revealing that he is in talks with the actor. Calling Vicky his family, the director said, “Vicky is one of the finest actors that we have. He’s family to me. I’m extremely close to both Vicky and Katrina. So, I would love to work with him. At the end of the day, we as directors and actors, keep discussing ideas. There’s nothing concrete right now that can make me say that yes, we’re doing something together. But yes, I’ve been speaking to him."
Kabir also revealed that he has been speaking to Salman Khan and ideating with him, as well as doing the same with Kartik Aaryan. He stated, “I’ve also been speaking to Salman. Any time I meet actors, we keep ideating. I keep ideating with Kartik too." Highlighting that he is busy working on a couple of ideas, Kabir mentioned, “I’m in – what I like to call – the development phase. There are two-three ideas that I’ve been very excited about. I decided to take six-seven months off before jumping into a production."
Meanwhile, Kabir Khan is gearing up for the release of his anthology movie My Melbourne, which he directed alongside Imtiaz Ali, Onir, and Rima Das. It will hit theaters in India on March 14. The movie, based on four stories, explores real-life incidents with a blend of gender, sexuality, race, and disability.
