Kajol is all set to bring back the era of good versus evil in the upcoming mythological movie titled Maa. She will portray one of the fiercest roles of her career in this film. Announcing the movie on social media, the actress shared a gripping motion poster along with the release date. Vishal Furia, known for directing the Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer horror film Chhorii, is bringing this mythological drama to the big screen under his direction.

The movie Maa explores the timeless battle between good and evil, promising a blend of suspense and intense drama. Kajol stars alongside Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma in pivotal roles. When announcing her next project, the actress shared a photo featuring her character and Kherin Sharma’s character, who will play her daughter. The poster sets the tone as Kajol looks intense, holding her daughter tightly against all odds. Sharing the post, she wrote, "Hell is here… so is the Goddess! About Maa Movie

Directed by Vishal Furia and written by Saiwyn Quadras, Maa is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, with Kumar Mangat Pathak as the co-producer. The film promises to explore vengeance and dark secrets with suspense and high-intensity drama. Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, the movie is set for a theatrical release on June 27, 2025. It will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.

Meanwhile, Kajol was last seen in the thriller drama Do Patti, which also featured Kriti Sanon. She will also appear in Sarzameen, directed by Kayoze Irani. The film also stars Ibrahim Ali Khan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mihir Ahuja, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and many others.
