South superstar Kamal Haasan, who is gearing up for his upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD, recently made a statement on Deepika Padukone’s to-be child. The actor was joined by the team during a discussion called The Kalki Chronicles. Apart from the action sequences in the movie, fans will also witness Deepika Padukone a pregnant woman in  Kalki 2898 AD. During the chat, Kamal predicted that the actress’ child would become a filmmaker. 

While describing Kalki’s director Nag Ashwin’s child-like enthusiasm, Deepika said “I was in Bombay. It was a long break because we were shooting in different schedules. I hadn’t heard from him in a while. I see this missed call from Nagi and I wondered what happened.” He said, ‘I just called to tell you we shot our first day with Kamal sir.’ She added, “Like a child.”

Kamal Haasan interrupted her conversation while pointing towards her baby bump and said “That’s what made this film. That child. We hope this child will also make a film some day.” This statement left everyone in splits. 

Deepika and Ranveer Singh announced the pregnancy in February this year. The couple is all set to welcome their child in September this year. They are reportedly on a babymoon in London.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD is all set to release in theatres on 27th June this year. The Nag Ashwin directorial will feature Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone as Sumathi, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama, Prabhas as Bhairava, Disha Patani as Roxie, Saswata Chatterjee as Commander Manas and Keerthy Suresh as Bujji. The movie is based on Hindu scriptures, which will showcase the birth of the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu, who will protect the world from evil forces. As per recent developments, the film will showcase a massive clash between Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas’ characters.
