Global Punjabi music star Karan Aujla made history on Saturday night as more than 75,000 fans packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for the opening show of his P-POP CULTURE India Tour. Produced by Team Innovation, the concert is now being recognised as India’s second highest-attended single-day concert after Coldplay, and the biggest live event ever headlined by a Punjabi artist in the country.
The evening began with a lively DJ set by DJ Chetas, who warmed up the crowd with energetic mixes. Aujla then made a dramatic entrance, rising from beneath the stage on a lift. Midway through the show, he surprised fans by travelling across the stadium on a zipline, creating a 360-degree experience for audiences seated across different levels. The stage production was on an international scale, featuring a 50-foot-high main stage, a C-stage extension, IMAX-style LED screens, synchronised drones, giant sunflower props, fire effects and powerful sound systems. The atmosphere was electric from start to finish.

Karan Aujla performed a string of hit songs including MF Gabhru, 52 Bars, Softly, Winning Speech, Admirin U and Tauba Tauba. The concert ended with explosive performances of Try Me, Daytona and Gangsta, drawing thunderous cheers from the crowd. Speaking after the show, Aujla said, “Tonight was more than just a concert; it was a celebration of culture and a moment where we all connected through the one language of love, passion and unity.” Mohit Bijlani, Founder of Team Innovation, added, “What we achieved tonight in Delhi is nothing short of revolutionary.”
The 11-city tour will next travel to Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and several other cities. Following the success of his 2024 tour, this edition is expected to attract over 500,000 fans and generate nearly $30 million in revenue nationwide.
