Karan Johar's much-anticipated film, 'The Bull,' starring Salman Khan, is all set to kick off production in 2025, dispelling recent rumours of its shelving, according to a report by India Today. The movie is based on the remarkable events of Operation Cactus.

The film, titled 'The Bull,' featuring Salman Khan in a pivotal role, is slated to commence filming in 2025, debunking speculations that it had been shelved. Contrary to these rumours, the project is very much alive, with the script currently under development. The delay in production is attributed to the script undergoing revisions, pushing the original filming schedule from this year to a later date, with an intended Eid 2025 release.

'The Bull' draws inspiration from Operation Cactus, a historic event that took place on November 3, 1988, when Indian forces played a pivotal role in helping the Maldives government regain control following a coup attempt. Given the sensitivity of the subject and the evolving political landscape between India and the Maldives, the script is being carefully crafted to present a fresh perspective.

Earlier reports had suggested that 'The Bull' faced hurdles due to scheduling conflicts between Karan Johar, director Vishuvardhan, and Salman Khan. However, it has been clarified that the film's delay is primarily due to script revisions and not any disagreements or shelving of the project.

'The Bull' marks the reunion of Salman Khan and Karan Johar after 25 years. Directed by Vishnuvardhan, known for his work on 'Shershaah' starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, the film promises to be a compelling narrative based on real-life events.

In a recent development, reports suggested that Salman Khan has backed out of 'The Bull' due to scheduling conflicts. However, it seems that Salman's decision was amicable, with him expressing that perhaps fate had other plans for the film. Karan Johar, on the other hand, is reportedly exploring other ideas for collaboration with Salman, indicating that 'The Bull' might not be entirely off the table and could potentially be revisited if a concrete timeline can be established.

'The Bull' holds special significance for Karan Johar, as Salman Khan had previously supported him by accepting a role that many others had turned down. Salman's portrayal of Aman Mehra in Karan Johar's directorial debut, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,' played a crucial role in establishing Karan's career in the industry. Salman Khan was last seen in 'Tiger 3' alongside Katrina Kaif, while Karan Johar recently produced 'Yodha,' featuring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role.
