Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra recently shared a video of himself reciting a poem in response to the horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on April 22, that claimed 26 lives of innocent people. He received a backlash for his poetry video. Amid this criticism, Karan Veer has finally reacted to the matter and clarified his intention behind the poem. He also condemned the attack and quoted actor Suniel Shetty’s latest statement, expressing that the next holiday spot would be Kashmir.
Karan Veer Mehra shared a clarifying statement over his viral poem post on his Instagram story. He wrote, "An eye for an eye will NOT leave the whole world blind, the last person will still have one eye, & we all know who that last person might be. But the real question is, would YOU rather break the chain of hate and make the world a better place? That’s exactly what my poem meant."
Condemning the Pahalgam terror attack and hoping the terrorists get the strongest punishment. He stated, “My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the Pahalgam attack. May the perpetrators face the strongest punishment they deserve. We are not scared. We are not afraid."
TV actor concluded his note by stating Suniel Shetty's statement 'Agli chutti Kashmir mein'.
Recently, Suniel Shetty urged the citizens to spend their next holidays in Kashmir to show terrorists that they are not afraid of them.
Karan Veer Mehra’s Viral Post On Pahalgam Terror Attack
Karan dropped a video in response to a tragic event in Pahalgam on his Instagram handle, where he recited lines of a poem authored by actor Ashutosh Rana. He was heard saying "Baat diya iss dharti ko, kya chand-sitaaron ka hoga? Nadiyon ko kuch naam diye, behti dharon ka kya hoga? Shiv ki Ganga bhi paani hai, aabe zam zam bhi paani hai. Pandit bhi piye, Maula bhi piye, toh paani ka mazhab kya hoga? Ek hai suraj, ek hai chand, ek hawa mein saans hai sabki." He continued questioning the division of society with the poem. This post didn't sit well with the netizens. They trolled him by calling it his "acting". One user wrote, "Shame, I supported Karanveer Mehra a lot during his time on Bigg Boss, but after this video, I’m losing respect for him as a fan. I never expected him to take a stance against secularism or make such controversial statements. I’m really disappointed, you have lost one big follower."
