Kartik Aaryan recently opened up about his struggle being an outsider in the Bollywood industry. The actor said that it was harder to get opportunities and the work does not get recognition for the outsider quickly. He also shared that it does create an impact on actors. Kartik admitted that not having industry connections can take a mental toll. But he believes that ‘being an outsider is not a weakness’. The star also admitted that whatever projects he has done till now are the product of his hard work.  

In an interview with GQ India, Kartik said “It’s harder to get the opportunities, or your work recognized when you’re not from the industry, and that does end up affecting you. You have to learn everything from scratch, find your own footing and fight to be treated equally.” 

“I have, in the past, thought about how different my career would have looked had I received the same sort of treatment as someone who’s always had a foot in the door. It’s taken a lot of introspection and inner work to realize that being an outsider is not a weakness. Everything that I’ve done so far is a product of my own hard work,” the actor added. 

Kartik Aaryan was last seen in Chandu Champion. The movie alsos stars Bhagyashri Borse, Bhuvan Arora, Vijay Raaz, Sonia Goswami, Adonis Kapsalis and Sonali Kulkarni in key roles. Released on 14th June 2024, the movie is currently streaming on Prime Video. 

He will be next seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The horror comedy-drama also features Triptii Dimri, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Naurang Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and Vineeth in prominent roles. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the movie is scheduled to be released in theatres on 1st November this year.
