Kaun Banega Crorepati is all set for its fifteenth season. The show is all set to begin within a few hours with fans eagerly waiting for megastar Amitabh Bachchan to host the new season. According to the show’s format, if the participant is able to answer all the questions correctly, he/she will take home a whopping amount of Rs 7.5 crores.

When Kaun Banega Crorepati first debuted in 2000, the prize money was 1 crore, and for the second and third seasons, it was upped to 2 crore. In the fourth season, a jackpot reward of 5 crore was introduced, and in 2013, when the seventh season premiered, the prize money was increased to 7 crore. To honor India's 75 years of independence, the prize money was upped to 7.5 crore last year.

Narula Brothers (7 Crore)
Brothers Achin Narula and Sarthak Narula created history as they became the first ones to win Rs 7 crore in the show’s eighth season.
Sushil Kumar (5 Crore)
Sushil Kumar became first contestant to win the ₹5 crore prize when he participated in KBC 5.
Harshvardhan Nawathe (1 Crore)
Harshvardhan scripted history after he won the top prize money in KBC Season 1.
Ravi Mohan Sain (1 Crore)
Ravi took home a whopping prize of Rs 1 crore after he appeared on KBC Junior in 2001.
Brajesh Dubey (1 Crore)
Brajesh Dubey won Rs 1 crore in the second season of Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2005.
