Amitabh Bachchan often can be seen engaging in heartfelt conversations with contestants on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He shares his life experiences with the participants and can be seen motivating them as well. In a recent episode of the 16th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati also known as KBC, a participant named Akshay shared about his cancer diagnosis. After this, Big B talked about his frequent hospital visits in recent years.

Akshay said, “I have always been inclined towards art. As I grew up, I was introduced to design. In 2018, I was diagnosed with cancer. The treatment took place for 1-2 years. During the recovery period, which I spent at home, I started learning designing on my own. I had knee pain for quite sometime. After getting scans and all, doctors found a golf ball-sized tumour. Then through biopsy, we found out it is cancerous tumour.”

“I had chemotherapy sessions and surgery also. When my friends were going to college, I was in hospital. It was a tough fight but a life-altering experience. I learnt a lot. I saw a kid around 6-7 years, who had to undergo surgery and they had to amputate the leg,” the contestant added.

After hearing this Amitabh Bachchan also opened up about the heath issues that he has been from some time. The 81-year-old actor said, “I am sitting in front of you. I have also made many rounds to the hospital but by the blessings of everyone, I have come out healthy. And there’s no reason to feel upset about your friends who were going to college because they didn’t come to KBC.”

The Bollywood megastar has been hosting the quiz reality show since its inception in 2000. In the third season, Shah Rukh Khan took the seat of Big B. However, the veteran actor returned to the show in the fourth season.
