Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday starrer Hindi historical courtroom drama movie released in theatres on April 18. Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh received good responses from the audience. It is one of the most anticipated films of the year and was expected to earn big numbers at the box office. However, it failed to match the hype that came along with the promotions, as it brought disappointing numbers. Yes, Kesari Chapter 2 earned in single-digit numbers on the opening day. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Kesari Chapter 2 The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh earned Rs 7.84 crore on Day 1. He wrote on X, "#KesariChapter2 Day 1 India Nett - ₹ 7.84 Crs.. It benefitted hugely from strong word of mouth.. As the day progressed, collections improved.. Day 2 Saturday morning has started higher indicating a solid weekend.."
As per Sacnilk, the film had an overall 20.00 per cent Hindi occupancy on Friday. It had 12.67 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 19.76 per cent in the afternoon shows, 19.76 per cent in the evening shows and 27.80 per cent in the night shows.

As reported by Bollymoviereviewz, the film had an overall budget of Rs 150 crores including all inclusive of prints and advertising costs.

The story focuses on the life of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, who unravel and fought for the truth behind the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, Ananya Panday, Simon Paisley Day, Regina Cassandra, Alexx O'Nell, Amit Sial, Mark Bennington and Sammy Jonas Heaney in pivotal roles. The historical courtroom drama movie has written and directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. It has been produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh, Bindra Anand Tiwari and Akshay Kumar.
