Kesari Chapter 2 OTT Release: Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan star in the biographical historical drama Kesari Chapter 2, which is set to hit theaters on April 18. Helmed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film explores the aftermath of the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which took place in April 1919. Akshay will portray the life and struggles of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, who became a prominent figure in challenging the British Empire in the fight for justice during that horrific period. The teaser, which was released today by the makers, has already given a glimpse of what Kesari Chapter 2 is going to be. Ahead of its theatrical release, the buzz about its OTT debut is already surfacing online.

After the teaser of Kesari 2 was unveiled, it hinted that the movie’s streaming partner is JioHotstar. Viewers can watch the film on OTT if they somehow miss it in theaters. However, no official announcement has been made yet about the film's digital premiere.


About Kesari Chapter 2: Cast and Story
Kesari Chapter 2 brings the horrific events of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre to the screen. In this legal drama, Akshay Kumar will portray Sir C. Sankaran Nair, the fearless and brave lawyer who challenged the British Empire in the wake of this tragedy in Indian history. The story is adapted from the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, highlighting Nair's courageous legal battle to expose the dark truth about the massacre. The Kesari Chapter 2 teaser gave an insight into these emotional and tragic events. The clip has already captivated the audience with the way it is presented in an unconventional manner, opening without visuals—only the sound of the artist immersing the audience in the chaos and horror of the massacre. Adding to this is a dialogue, "Don’t forget that you’re still a slave to the British Empire," which leaves fans even more intrigued. 

The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari. Details about the rest of the cast are still under wraps.
