Kesari Veer: Suniel Shetty, Sooraj Pancholi and Vivek Oberoi are all set to star in the much-anticipated historial drama Kesari Veer: Legend of Somnath. The movie is based on the famous Somnath temple in Gujarat. Amid all the speculations surrounding the star cast, the makers have officially announced the movie.

In Kesari Veer: Legend of Somnath, Suniel Shetty, Sooraj Pancholi and Vivek Oberoi will share screen space for the first time. Aside from the trio, the movie will also feature Akanksha Sharma in a pivotal role. The film is being helmed by Prince Dhiman and Kanu Chauhan.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Instagram handle. His post read, "SUNIEL SHETTY - SOORAJ PANCHOLI - VIVEK OBEROI: ‘KESARI VEER’ OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT... Producer #KanuChauhan [#ChauhanStudios] announces his debut production, #KesariVeer: Legend of Somnath. Directed by #PrinceDhiman, the film pays tribute to the unsung warriors who valiantly defended the Somnath Temple in the 14th century. About Movie Kesari Veer: Legend of Somnath

The movie is inspired by the tale of unsung warriors who fought and sacrificed their lives to protect the Somnath Temple from invaders in the 14th century AD. As per reports, Sooraj Pancholi will portray the role of Veer Hamirji Gohil, while Suniel Shetty will assist him in the mission to save the temple. Vivek Oberoi has reportedly been roped in as the antagonist, playing the head soldier of the Tughlaq dynasty who loots the temple and converts Hindus into Muslims.

Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty is reuniting with his Hera Pheri gang. He is gearing up for the highly anticipated comedy adventure Hera Pheri 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. He also has Welcome to the Jungle in the pipeline.
