Mookuthi Amman 2: There were recently several rumours which suggested that director Sundar C was facing trouble. The reports further claimed that lead actress Nayanthara disrupted the shoot of the Tamil fantasy comedy movie. It also suggested that the makers were considering replacing Nayanthara with Tamannaah Bhatia in Mookuthi Amman 2. Now, Khushbu Sundar reacted to the recent rumours about the movie. She stated that the shooting of the film is going on smoothly and as planned. The actress stated that Nayanthara is very professional actor who has proved her worth. 

Khushbu Sundar wrote on X, “To all the wellwishers of #SundarC Sir. Too many unwanted rumors are floating about ##MookuthiAmman2 . Please loosen up. Shoot is underway smoothly and going as planned. Everyone knows Sundar is a no nonsense person. #Nayanthara is a very professional actor who has proved her worth. More than happy to have her play a role she has reprised in the past. These rumors are like "drishti edutha maadhiri". All that happens, happens for good. Your goodwill, blessings and love is all that we count upon. Thank you for always being with us. So relax, and look forward to yet another blockbuster by the King of Entertainment.” 

Earlier, a report by Hindu Tamil stated that Nayanthara had a fight with an assistant director on set over a costume. Director Sundar was angered by this and halted the shoot of Mookuthi Amman 2 in Chennai. The report further claimed that there was talk going on about replacing the actress with Tamannaah Bhatia. 

Apart from Nayanthara, Mookuthi Amman 2 also stars Regena Cassandrra, Yogi Babu, Abhinaya, Ajay Ghosh and Duniya Vijay in key roles. The shooting of the film started in Chennai on March 6, 2025. While sharing some glimpses from the pooja ceremony of the film, Nayanthara wrote on Instagram “With the blessings of Amman MOOKUTHI AMMAN 2 @velsfilmintl Sundar C sir  @therowdypictures Thank you everyone for the love n blessings.”
