The friend further clarified that GOLDMEDALIST has ensured all public statements were verified by Kim Soo Hyun himself before being released. In an earlier statement on March 14, the agency acknowledged the actor’s deteriorating mental health due to the ongoing controversy, stating that he has been experiencing "extreme confusion and chaos."

The dating rumours between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron originally surfaced after reports suggested they had been in a relationship from 2015 to 2021. However, the agency clarified that the two were together for only a year — from 2019 to the fall of 2020 — after Kim Sae Ron had reached adulthood.
