Kritika Kamra, who will be seen as investigative police officer in the forthcoming mystery crime drama series Gyaarah Gyaarah, hinted at a new project. Following her portrayals as a victim in Hush Hush, a gangster in Bambai Meri Jaan, and a police officer in Gyaarah Gyaarah, she is now preparing to take on a glamorous role in her next project.
Hinting at her next project, the actress told Jagran English, "I’m drawn to women who challenge conventions and carve their own paths in a male-dominated world, defying stereotypes and exceeding expectations. Whether they appear as positive or complex characters in shows like Bambai Meri Jaan or Tandav, they are always forging their own trail and making a significant impact in their narratives. This is what truly captivates me. Although my roles have been intense and varied, I’m now excited to explore something lighter. Currently, I’m working on a project that offers a refreshing change from my usual intense roles, allowing me to embrace a more glamorous and stylish on-screen persona."
"And as a character also, it's a completely different strata, background and story that I'm working in. And I'll tell you more about it when we're close to that release," she added.
Kritika Kamra's role in Gyaarah Gyaarah
Kritika Kamra expressed that the series is particularly engaging due to its narrative that spans three decades, weaving together an intricate and mysterious storyline.
Talking about preparing her role in the mentioned series, she told us, "Nothing is easy. And especially, the choices that I make are not easy and I don't want them to be easy because if they're easy, they're boring. If the roles are straightforward and effortless, I’m not pushing my boundaries, and that can be boring for me as an actor. This role, in particular, was far from easy. It’s a complex character that spans two timelines. In the past, I portray a young, insecure officer who joins under Dhairya Karwa's character, Shaurya. In the present, years later, she has risen through the ranks to become DSP Vamita Rawat, having gained confidence and command, while mentoring a new recruit, Yugaria, played by Raghav Juyal."

"The character's journey mirrors the evolution I’ve experienced in my own life and career, from being a young, enthusiastic newcomer to a seasoned professional. The role demanded significant work, including adapting body language, undergoing action training, and learning to drive a manual SUV in hilly terrain. The preparation also involved deep psychological work to convey the character’s inner struggles and professional dedication. Despite her personal turmoil, she remains committed to her duties, showcasing the complexity and depth of her role," she added.
