Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu-led ‘Kushi’ has officially crashed at the box office in less than a week with the entry of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan.’ The film is inching closer to the Rs 100 Crore mark globally but miserably fell at the domestic market on Day 7. ‘Kushi’ earned its lowest collection yet on its seventh day, and will probably see the end of its theatrical run in India. The film is directed by Shiva Nirvana and had a blockbuster opening at the worldwide box office.
The film brought Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu for the second time after ‘Mahanati.’ Released on September 1, amid massive expectations and buzz, the film earned around Rs 71 Crore worldwide in just three days. However, soon it started to witness a crucial decline in Collection and failed the Monday litmus test. ‘Kushi’ minted Rs 0.50 Crore on Day 7, taking the total collection of the film to be around Rs 41.31 Crore domestically.

On Day 6, the total collection stood around Rs 40.65 Crore and had an occupancy of 17.25 percent in India. With ‘Jawan’ entering the theatres in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, ‘Kushi’ was pulled out from several theatres in just a week’s run.

The film is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana and also features Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, and Rahul Ramakrishna in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, whereas the music score is given by Heshan Abdul Wahab.
