L2 Empuraan Box Office Collection Day 1: Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Malayalam action thriller drama is one of the anticipated movies of the year, which released on March 27. The film received positive responses from both the audience and the critics. The film was expected to bring record-breaking numbers, which it did on its opening day itself. L2 Empuraan had started off on an impressive note and collected over Rs 20 crore. Seeing the hype and expectation, the movie might collect a hefty amount over the weekend.

As per Sacnilk, L2 Empuraan earned Rs 22 crore on Day 1. The Malayalam version collected Rs 19.45 crore, Kannada version earned Rs 0.05 crore. On the other hand, the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi versions collected Rs 1.2 crore, 0.8 crore and 0.5 crore, respectively. It had an overall 61.02 per cent Malayalam occupancy on Thursday, 10.50 per cent Kannada occupancy, 20.12 per cent Telugu occupancy, 28.70 per cent Tamil occupancy and 6.05 per cent Hindi occupancy. 

L2 Empuraan Budget

As per several media reports, the movie was made on a budget of Rs 180 crore. If the movie maintained the pace as it started off, then it will definitely cross the budget mark soon.

The story is about the journey of a man named Stephen Nedumpally, also known as Khureshi Ab'raam, who leads a double life. He became an enigmatic leader of a powerful global crime syndicate despite facing several opponents. The movie stars Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Caroline Koziol, Jerome Flynn, Eriq Ebouaney, Tovino Thomas, Saniya Iyappan and Manju Warrier in key roles. It has been directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and produced by Antony Perumbavoor, Subaskaran Allirajah under the production banners of Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, Sree Gokulam Movies.
