Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film follows the story of a well-educated man, the son of a political leader, who sets out on a mission to reform the political system but ends up becoming part of the game. About Movie Leader
Rana Daggubati plays Arjun Prasad, who enters politics after his father, Sanjeevayya, a fictional Andhra Pradesh CM, is wounded in a bomb blast and wants his son to take over. Upon stepping into his father's shoes, Arjun discovers that the party is riddled with corruption and controlled by his uncle Mahadevayya (played by Kota Srinivasa Rao). With the help of expert Ali (Harsha Vardhan) and journalist Ratna Prabha (Priya Anand), Arjun attempts to expose the wrongdoings within the party. Arjun implements strict anti-corruption policies, angering several party leaders. To protect his position, Arjun allies with another party. The film’s narrative unfolds as Arjun contests as an independent and wins the election.
The political drama is directed by Sekhar Kammula and written by Rutwik Pavan. Leader is produced by M. Saravanan, M. S. Guhan, Aruna Guhan, and Aparna Guhan. Besides Rana Daggubati in the lead role, the film also stars Richa Gangopadhyay, Priya Anand, Suman, Suhasini, and Kota Srinivasa Rao in key roles. The cinematography was handled by Vijay C. Kumar, and the editing was done by Marthand K. Venkatesh. The film's music was composed by Mickey J. Meyer.
