The sixth episode of the web series 'Love Storiyaan', produced by Dharma Entertainment under the esteemed banner of Karan Johar, has encountered significant obstacles in its global reach. Renowned for its portrayal of diverse tales of romance, this series distinguishes itself by featuring a collaborative effort of seven directors. However, recent reports indicate that the sixth episode has faced outright prohibition in several nations, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia, and Egypt.

In the episode, the tale of Tista and Dipan unfolds, captivating audiences with its poignant portrayal of a transgender couple residing in Kolkata. This banned installment delves into their extraordinary journey, including the trials and triumphs they faced during Teesta's gender transition surgery. Their remarkable narrative has left viewers astonished, showcasing the power of love to transcend societal norms and expectations. 

About Love Storiyaan

The series is brought to life by producers Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, and created by Somen Mishra. It draws inspiration from real-life tales carefully selected in partnership with India Love Project, a social media community established by former journalists Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman.

Originally premiered on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on February 14, this year, the series continues to spark conversations about inclusion and acceptance in modern society.

However, according to News 18, Karan Johar had earlier said about the web series, “Love Storiyaan for us, is more than just a faithful retelling of real-life love stories. The series looks at love in all its forms, painting a beautiful picture of connections that go beyond the ordinary.”
