Lovely Runner Season Finale: The sixteenth episode of tvN’s popular Kdrama starring Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon airs on May 28th on the South Korean broadcast channel at 8:50 p.m. (5:20 p.m. IST) and will be available for streaming on Viki and Viu shortly afterwards. The drama won hearts for its fresh story, impeccable lead actors and their irresistible chemistry and has remained one of the most buzzworthy Kdramas. The series in its first fifteen episodes has shown the death, separation and love of its lead characters Ryu Seon Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) and Lim Sol (Kim Hye Yoon).

Lim Sol has travelled across time and space multiple times in her desperate attempts to save her idol-turned-love Seon Jae who is revealed to have loved her all along. However, the main antagonist of the Kdrama apart from time or fate itself is Kim Young Soo, the maniac Taxi driver who has been after Sol since the show’s original timeline and each time she travels back to save Seon Jae.

However, as grim and dark as it sounds, the writer Li See Eun has added several enjoyable and adorable aspects to the story making it a fun watch. Friend of Seon Jae, Baek In Hyuk and Sol’s first love or crush Kim Tae Sung portrayed by Song Geon Hee has gathered a massive fan following due to their significant contributions to the plot.

The second male lead Kim Tae Sung earlier shown to be a playboy transforms drastically as he is shown to be a detective like his father Kim Won Chul in the latest timeline shift. He’s after Young Soo in the current timeline and prevents Seon Jae’s accident in episode 15.

Fans are gushing over Tae Sung who also sincerely loves Lim Sol but eventually lets her go for Seon Jae. In one of the earlier episodes back in Sol’s high school days, she had made Tae Sung promise to save Seon Jae if he sees him in danger and it seems Tae Sung fulfilled his promise by chasing Young Soo.

Fans took to X and expressed their admiration for Song Geon Hee’s character and how earnestly they do not want him to die in the Kdrama while saving Seon Jae or chasing Young Soo.

Just a few hours before the curtain gets raised from all the speculations surrounding the Kdrama’s ending. Lovely Runner emerged as one of the most popular dramas despite fewer promotions and not being picked by Netflix. Netizens are in awe of its organic success.
