Maha Kumbh 2025: Devotees, pilgrims and saints from across the world are heading to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, to embrace the holy spirit. Actor Anupam Kher, who is receiving praise for his performance in Emergency, took a holy dip in the Ganga during his visit to the Maha Kumbh. The veteran actor shared his spiritual experience on social media.
Anupam Kher Visits Maha Kumbh Mela
Anupam Kher took to his Instagram handle and shared a clip from his visit to Prayagraj. In the video, he can be seen taking a holy dip in the Ganga. He wrote, "My life became successful after taking a dip in the Ganga during the Maha Kumbh. I chanted mantras for the first time after reaching the place where Maa Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet."
Sharing his heartwarming moment, Kher said, "While praying, tears started flowing from my eyes. Look at the coincidence! Just like this happened one year ago today on the day of Pran Pratishthan in Ayodhya! Hail to Sanatan religion."

The grand religious gathering, held every 12 years, is considered the world's largest single religious event. The Maha Kumbh 2025 is extra special as it arrives after 144 years due to the rare alignment of planets, making it even more significant for visitors. This spiritual gathering began on January 13 and will conclude on February 26. Visitors are attending this grand celebration and creating historic moments for their lifetime.
Anupam Kher's Work Front
Anupam Kher portrayed the role of political leader Jayaprakash Narayan in the political drama Emergency. The film also stars Kangana Ranaut, Vishak Nair, late actor Satish Kaushik, Mahima Chaudhry, and Shreyas Talpade in significant roles. The film released in theatres on January 17 and has been receiving a positive response at the box office.
