Maharaja Box Office Collection Day 9 (China): Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tamil movie has been roaring at the Chinese ticket windows. The action thriller was released on 40,000 silver screens in China on November 29. On Saturday, the movie saw a significant jump of over 50 per cent in numbers. Well, this definitely is going to be a bonus point for the film to set a record for Indian films at the Chinese box office. If it continues to maintain the same pace at the box office in China then Maharaja will soon enter the Rs 100 crore club.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 10.60 crore (USD 1.25 million) on Day 8. The total China collection of Maharaja stands at Rs 56.80 crore (USD 6.71 million). The worldwide collection of the Tamil film is Rs 162.93 crore and the overseas collection is Rs 76.10 crore. The India net collection of Maharaja stands at Rs 72.41 crore and the gross collection is Rs 81.83 crore.

The movie was made on a moderate budget of Rs 20 crore. The film has been helmed by Nithilan Saminathan and backed by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy.

About Maharaja 

Maharaja revolves around a helpless father who fights for justice after his daughter becomes the victim of a heinous crime. He seeks help from the police without letting them doubt him. In the climax, it is revealed that his daughter is the child of the main antagonist. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Sachana Namidass, Divyabharathi, Abhirami and Singampuli in key roles. Maharaja released in Indian theatres on June 14, 2024. The action thriller drama is available on Netflix in several languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
