Maharaja China Box Office Collection: Vijay Sethupathi is poised to conquer the Chinese box office with his highly acclaimed film Maharaja, which is currently experiencing unprecedented success. The movie has already achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the most-watched film on Netflix, garnering an impressive 19.7 million views. Building on this momentum, Maharaja is now shattering records with its preview screenings, generating immense excitement among audiences and solidifying its position as a cinematic sensation. As the film prepares to make its mark in China, fans and critics alike are eagerly anticipating its performance, with many predicting that it will replicate its Indian success in the Chinese market.

Maharaja China Box Office Collection

The Tamil suspense thriller, Maharaja, has already made a significant impact in China, even before its official release. The film has grossed an impressive $500,000 through preview screenings alone, setting the stage for a strong opening. The movie is slated to hit theaters on November 29, and it will be released on a massive 40,000 screens across China, ensuring widespread visibility and accessibility.

The early success of Maharaja in China is all the more notable when compared to the performance of other Indian films in the country. For instance, Baahubali: The Conclusion, a blockbuster Indian film, earned a total of almost $10 million in China. Maharaja has already grossed 4.7% of that total through its preview screenings alone. 

In terms of Chinese Yuan, the film has earned ¥36,23,149, which is a significant amount considering it has only been shown in preview screenings so far. In contrast, Baahubali 2 earned ¥76,840,000 in its entire lifetime in China. These numbers suggest that Maharaja is off to a strong start in China and may potentially rival the success of other Indian films in the country.

According to reports, Maharaja has been made on a budget of Rs 20 crore.

Maharaja is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Nithilan Saminathan. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi as the titular character, a barber from Chennai, who visits a police station to report a stolen dustbin, only to have his intentions misinterpreted by the police, leading to a thrilling series of events.
