L2: Empuraan

Mohanlal’s latest Malayalam movie L2: Empuraan received rave reviews from fans and critics alike post its theatrical release. The movie has been directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy. It is the second instalment in the Lucifer trilogy starring Mohanlal, alongside an ensemble cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Jerome Flynn, Andrea Tivadar, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kishore.

L2: Empuraan is now streaming on JioHotstar.

Thudarum

Thudarum is a 2025 Indian Malayalam-language family thriller film directed by Tharun Moorthy. The movie was produced by M. Renjith through Rejaputhra Visual Media and it stars Mohanlal and Shobana, alongside Prakash Varma, Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Thomas Mathew, Krishna Prabha in supporting roles.

According to Oneindia story, Thudarum would be available on OTT on May 23 or May 30.

Rekhachithram

Rekhachithram is an Indian Malayalam-language mystery crime thriller film directed by Jofin T. Chacko. The movie is based on a story by Ramu Sunil and scripted by John Manthrikal. Produced by Kavya Film Company and Ann Mega Media, Rekhachithram boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Asif Ali, Anaswara Rajan and Malayalam cinema legends such as Mammootty, Manoj K. Jayan, Siddique, Jagadish, Saikumar, Harisree Ashank and Indrans. Rekhachithram is now available to watch on Sony LIV.

Alappuzha Gymkhana

The 2025 Indian Malayalam sports movie Alappuzha Gymkhana has been directed and produced by Khalid Rahman. The movie stars Naslen, Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, Franco Francis, Baby Jean and Shiva Hariharan. It hit the theatres on April 10, 2025.

Jio Hotstar is leading the competition to acquire the rights, while Amazon Prime Video is also vying for its digital capabilities, according to OneIndia. In all likelihood, Alappuzha Gymkhana will be released digitally in May.
