Actor Rohit Basfore, who was set to play a role in The Family Man 3, was found dead on Sunday, April 27, near a waterfall in the Garbhanga forest in Assam. The actor's sudden demise sent shock waves in the industry. Manoj Bajpayee also expressed grief over his co-star's death.

Manoj Bajpayee On Rohit Basfore's Demise

Manoj Bajpayee took to his X handle and posted, “May God bless your soul with peace Rohit Basfore!! Gone too soon! Our condolences to the family!!"

Few months ago, Basfore returned to Guwahati from Mumbai. As per Odisha Bytes report, his family claimed that he left home for an outing with friends at around 12.30 pm on Sunday. .

Rohit’s family has alleged to be a murder. Stating that the actor had recently been involved in a parking argument during which three individuals – Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore allegedly gave him a death threat.

The police have confirmed that the actor had several injury marks on his body. “An autopsy was performed at Guwahati Medical College Hospital on Monday. Multiple injuries were discovered on the body, including wounds on his head, face, and other parts. We are investigating the case, but the four accused are on the run," an official said in a statement quoted by Odisha Bytes. Further investigation is underway.

Rohit was quite active on social media and used to give his fans a glimpse of the sets of The Family Man. In November last year, he shared a series of photos with co-stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Dalip Tahil on his Instagram. The popular series is created by Raj & DK and stars Manoj Bajpayee as intelligence officer Srikant Tiwari alongside Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, and Ashlesha Thakur. The upcoming season is in production and also features actor Jaideep Ahlawat in a pivotal role.
