Matka Box Office Collection Day 5: Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary starrer Telugu movie has been failing to impress the audience. The period action drama film was released in theatres on November 14, 2024. It received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics. With the steady box office numbers since the release, it seems difficult for the movie to reach the Rs 10 crore mark. Matka was one of the most anticipated Telugu movies of the year but unfortunately, it could not make a mark at the ticket windows.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 0.37 crore on Day 5. The net collection of Matka stands at Rs 3.01 crore. The film had 16.30 per cent Telugu occupancy in theatres. It had 11.37 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 17.19 per cent in afternoon shows, 17.76 per cent in the evening shows and 18.87 per cent in the night shows.
Matka Budget
As per reports, the movie was made on a budget of Rs 35 crore. Matka has been directed by Karuna Kumar and produced by Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Talluri. The movie was backed by production companies-Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments.
About Matka
The story is set against the backdrop of Matka gambling scams that created havoc in the nation from 1958 to 1982. It focuses on the man who becomes a key player in the gambling operation. The movie features Varun Tej, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Nora Fatehi, Naveen Chandra, Saloni Aswani, Kishore Kumar G, Ajay Ghosh and Mime Gopi in key roles. As per reports, the Telugu movie is based on the life of Ratan Khetri.
