Medha Shankr is currently enjoying the success of her latest release 12th Fail. The movie which gave her a lot of recognition as an actor, is still running successfully in theatres even after 5 months. On this occasion, the actress who played the love interest of Vikrant Massey’s character compared 12th Fail's achievements with the movie Gadar. Medha express that she is thankful to the audience as the film celebrates its silver jubilee in theatres.
Taking to her Instagram, Megha Shankr wrote, “#12thFail celebrates its Silver Jubilee for an impressive theatrical run - 25 weeks and going strong! 🌟 Here’s to all who have made this a cinematic triumph! #ZeroSeKarRestart”
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Medha said “It’s quite unbelievable. It is a remarkable feat for any film to complete 25 weeks in theatres. It was Gadar long back which had this run of a silver jubilee and now it’s 12th Fail, so I am very happy, proud, and grateful to the audience for making this happen.”
“There was a mini celebration that we had at a theatre. We were given certificates of 25 weeks, we cut a cake, and there were posters, it was cute,” she added.
Medha also shared that after 12th Fail she has access to big filmmakers and lot of work opportunities have opened for her. “Things have completely changed for me overnight. I can clearly demarcate my life before and after 12th Fail. Professionally, I now have access to filmmakers that I have only dreamed of working with. Because of its success, my performance and how good the film was, big filmmakers have faith in me now. It has opened many work opportunities, for sure,” she said.
Notably, 12th Fail hit the theatres on 27th October, 2023. After the movie’s success, it was dubbed in Tamil and Telugu and released on 3rd November. The film then started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on 29 December 2023, where it gained more popularity.
