One of the most prominent personalities of the MET Gala, Hollywood diva Blake Lively is undoubtedly the most sought after celebrity at the iconic fashion event. Every year, the ‘Gossip Girl’ alum serves the audiences with jaw-dropping looks, making them go ga-ga over the actor.
Seems like Blake Lively fans are in for a big disappointment this year. Blake has confirmed recently that she won’t be attending the MET Gala this year.

According to E News, Blake Lively confirmed that she won’t be present at the 2023 Met Gala taking place on Monday, May 1. The actor added that though she might not be attending, she will be keeping an eye on this year’s red carpet looks.
Speaking at the inauguration event of the Tiffany & Co. event in New York City on Friday, Blake Lively revealed that she won’t be attending the MET. “I will be watching,” the actor. Blake added, “I’ll wear my beloved 2022 Met Gala look “on my couch on Monday.””
This year, the theme of the gala is ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’. Indian celebrities Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra will be marking their attendance at the MET Gala 2023.
While Alia Bhatt was seen at the airport on Friday jetting off to the MET, Priyanka Chopra herself confirmed that she will be attending the event.
Speaking to Variety, Priyanka Chopra confirmed her appearance. While she did not reveal the details of her costume, Priyanka did hint that it will be in keeping with the theme of this year's MET Gala. “Her look 'will be on the theme' because she loves a theme, but it will also have a special element’,” Priyanka Chopra told Variety.
Alia Bhatt will reportedly wear a special outfit by celebrity designer Prabal Gurang. Other top celebrities confirmed to be attending are Kim Kardashian, Elle Fanning and Florence Pugh.
