Min Hee Jin, the former CEO of ADOR, the agency behind the popular girl group NewJeans, has resigned from her position. Despite stepping down as CEO, Min Hee Jin will continue to play a crucial role in NewJeans' success as the group’s in-house director and producer.

On August 27, 2024, South Korean media outlet SPOTV News reported that ADOR had officially announced Min Hee Jin's resignation. The company revealed that following a board meeting, they appointed Kim Joo Young, an internal director with extensive experience in human resources across various industries, as the new CEO. The decision to bring in Kim Joo Young is aimed at stabilizing the organization and restructuring its internal framework.

Min Hee Jin's transition from CEO to in-house director comes amid serious allegations against her, including accusations of bullying and sexual harassment within ADOR. These accusations reportedly led to a criminal complaint filed by a former ADOR employee, citing violations of the Labor Standards Act and the Personal Information Protection Act. Additionally, another ADOR executive allegedly reported Min Hee Jin for unfair practices in the workplace. These claims have sparked considerable attention, making the leadership change even more notable.

In their statement, ADOR emphasized the need to separate production from management, noting that this division of roles is standard in multi-label organizations. Previously, Min Hee Jin had overseen both production and management. Now, with the appointment of Kim Joo Young as CEO, ADOR intends to provide even greater support for NewJeans, ensuring the group's continued growth and success.
