Mirzapur 4 Update: Pankaj Tripathi's web series has become the talk of the town in the entertainment industry since the release of its third season, dominating the OTT market for obvious reasons. Fans eagerly awaiting updates on a potential fourth season received insights from co-director Anand Iyer. He not only discussed the next season's potential release date but also addressed the mixed reactions to the current season.

While the first two seasons of Mirzapur garnered immense popularity for their gritty storyline and intricate characters, the reception of the third season suggests a potential decline in the show's once-unstoppable success. Anand Iyer, co-director of the series, recently addressed disappointment over the fates of certain characters.

According to India Today, Iyer stressed on the difficulty of balancing audience expectations, "It's impossible to please everyone," he remarked, underscoring the unpredictable nature demanded by both life and the narrative of Mirzapur. "The reactions are mixed, which is what most shows receive. A lot of people like the way the story is going forward. However, some ardent fans are expressing themselves emotionally. These reactions are mainly about the characters, not about the show in general. And there are constant discussions about Season 4 as well, which somewhere makes me believe that the show is widely loved."

A significant source of contention among fans has been the absence of Munna Bhaiya, a beloved character played by Divyenndu. He met his demise in the second season, leaving viewers disappointed as they had hoped for his return in the latest installment. "Similarly, in a show, characters come and go. It is all about 'Mirzapur,' not about one character. The show must go on with new twists and turns," he added.

When is Mirzapur 4 releasing?

Talking about Season 4, he said, "I am certain that the new season will happen. But, only time will tell more about it, considering the audience's response. The delay in Season 3 happened because of COVID, but with all the love that we've received now, we are just gearing up for Season 4."

Meanwhile, Mirzapur 3 maintains its ensemble cast, featuring acclaimed actors such as Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar and Rasika Dugal, among others.
