Upcoming OTT Releases In Second Half Of 2024: 2024 has been going on a really great note for OTT. Several captivating movies and web series kept the audience entertained so far. However, as we are into the middle of the second half of 2024, there are several new OTT movies and web series that are all set for their release on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar, JioCinema, MX Player and more.

Recently, Netflix announced the release date of Squid Game Season 2, which sparked fans’ frenzy as evident from the social media reactions. According to the plot, in this season, Gi-hun, driven by an unrelenting quest for vengeance, makes a dramatic return, reprising his role in the sinister game that has consumed his life. Having solemnly vowed retribution at the climax of Season 1, Gi-hun's resolve remains unwavering, fueling his determination to confront the elusive Front Man.

Another much-awaited series is Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Citadel: Honey Bunny which will also release this year itself. Production on the highly anticipated series commenced in January 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting journey. The filming locations spanned across two countries, with the production team capturing breathtaking scenes in Serbia and India. 

After six months of intense filming, the production team successfully wrapped up shooting on July 13, 2023, bringing the series one step closer to its eagerly awaited release.

Korean series Gyeongseong Creature, which garnered positive reviews from fans and critics post its release, is all set for season 2. The much awaited season will make its OTT debut in September itself. According to the series’ synopsis, Jung-won came to Gyeongseong with his daughter, Chae-ok, in search of his wife, who went missing a decade ago. The father and daughter join forces with Tae-sang and infiltrate Ongseong Hospital together in pursuit of their respective goals.
