Most-Loved Murder Mysteries On OTT: In recent times, the realm of mystery mystery has experienced a significant upsurge. These films typically traverse across various genres while maintaining a common theme of mystery fiction woven into their narratives, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Recently, murder mystery 'Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout', directed by Aban Deo, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Prachi Desai, and Parul Gulati in the lead roles, was announced. Asur 2 (JioCinema)

Directed by Oni Sen, the series revolves around a team of forensic experts tasked with capturing a serial killer who believes himself to be the incarnation of the asura Kali. Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti headline the cast, alongside Anupriya Goenka, Riddhi Dogra, and Amey Wagh. Sharib Hashmi played a prominent role in the first season, while Meiyang Chang and Abhishek Chauhan joined the main cast in the second season.

Special OPS (Disney+ Hotstar)

Special OPS, created by Neeraj Pandey, revolves around Himmat Singh, a RAW agent who is determined to uncover a conspiracy that could threaten the security of the nation. The series follows Singh and his team as they embark on a high-stakes mission spanning multiple countries and years, unraveling a complex web of deceit and intrigue. It stars Kay Kay Menon as Himmat Singh, along with an ensemble cast including Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Divya Dutta, Meher Vij, and Sana Khan, among others.

Paatal Lok (Amazon Prime Video)

Directed by Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy, Paatal Lok is produced by Clean Slate Filmz, Anushka Sharma's production company. Set in Delhithe series follows the story of an overworked and disillusioned police officer named Hathiram Chaudhary, played by Jaideep Ahlawat, who is tasked with investigating a high-profile assassination attempt. As Chaudhary delves deeper into the case, he discovers layers of corruption, politics, and socio-economic divides that exist within society. The investigation leads him to confront the dark underbelly of the city, represented by three interconnected worlds: Swarg Lok (Heaven), Dharti Lok (Earth), and Paatal Lok (Hell). Apart from Jaideep, the series features performances by Neeraj Kabi, Gul Panag, Abhishek Banerjee, Swastika Mukherjee, and Ishwak Singh, among others.

Aarya Seasons (Disney+ Hotstar)

Directed by Ram Madhvani, the series starring Sushmita Sen is a Hindi-language adaptation of the Dutch drama series 'Penoza.' The second season continues the story of Aarya Sareen who is forced to enter the world of crime to protect her family after her husband is killed. Delving deeper into Aarya's journey, she navigates the complexities of her newfound criminal life while trying to keep her family safe. The series explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and redemption as Aarya confronts powerful enemies and makes difficult choices to protect her loved ones. Criminal Justice (Disney+ Hotstar)

Based on the 2008 British television series of the same name created by Peter Moffat, the Indian adaptation was helmed by directors Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vishal Furia. The series revolves around the plight of Aditya Sharma, a young cab driver portrayed by Vikrant Massey, who finds himself embroiled in a nightmare when he wakes up to discover he's accused of a gruesome crime he can't recall committing. As Aditya navigates the intricacies of the Indian criminal justice system, he must strive to prove his innocence while grappling with the harsh realities of prison life. The series also features stellar performances from actors such as Pankaj Tripathi, Jackie Shroff, Anupriya Goenka, and Mita Vashisht, among others.

Mirzapur (Amazon Prime Video)

Created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Karan Anshuman and Gurmmeet Singh, this crime thriller web series unfolds in the fictional town of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh. It explores the power struggles, criminal activities, and political intricacies among mafia bosses and gangs in the region. The narrative primarily revolves around two brothers, Guddu and Bablu Pandit, portrayed by Ali Fazal and Vikrant Massey, who are thrust into a world of crime and violence due to unforeseen circumstances.
