Wuthering Heights Review: Wuthering Heights presents itself as the 'greatest love story of all time', starring Australian actors Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff and Margot Robbie as Catherine. According to initial reactions, the romance movie is 'destined to be a massive hit' ahead of its February 13, 2026, release. The lead stars have received special praise for their excellent acting and chemistry, in addition to Emerald Fennell's direction.

Wuthering Heights, which is based on Emily Brontë's 1847 novel, centres on the wonderfully forbidden affair between Robbie's Cathy, a wealthy aristocrat from the 19th century, and Elordi's Heathcliff, a handsome high society outcast who returns to Wuthering Heights to defend her love after Cathy promises her heart to someone else. Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, Shazad Latif, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell star alongside Robbie and Elordi. Pop sensation Charli xcx made unique music for the movie.

Is Wuthering Heights Too Sexual?

Margot Robbie addressed the controversy around the movie's 'sexual' elements, even though it deviates from the classic literature. It's expected to be really raunchy, but people will be surprised, she said.

According to Margot, 'it's more romantic than provocative, but it's definitely provocative.' She acknowledged that there are sexual overtones. Comparing its emotional impact to movies like The Notebook and The English Patient, she characterised the movie as a rare modern epic romance.

"It's that feeling when your chest swells, or it's like someone's punched you in the guts and the air leaves your body," the actor said in an interview with British Vogue.

Wuthering Heights hits theatres in India on February 13, 2026.
