Mufasa The Lion King Box Office Collection Day 1: The American animated musical drama was released in theatres on December 20, 2024. It revolves around the life of an orphaned cub Mufasa. The film has been dubbed in Hindi and Telugu languages. Shah Rukh Khan has lent his voice to the role of Mufasa in the Hindi version and Mahesh Babu’s voice has been dubbed in the Telugu version. The Indian version of Mufasa The Lion King is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

As per Sacnilk, Mufasa The Lion King earned Rs 10 crore on opening day. The English version of the movie earned Rs 4 crore, the Hindi version collected Rs 3 crore, the Telugu version earned Rs 2 crore and the Tamil version earned Rs 1 crore. The film had an overall 17.55 per cent English occupancy and 12.80 per cent Hindi occupancy in theatres. The English version had an overall 8.03 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 13.73 per cent in the afternoon shows, 21.03 per cent occupancy in the evening shows and 27.42 per cent in the night shows. The Hindi version had 6.09 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 9.38 per cent in the afternoon shows, 15.87 per cent in the evening shows and 19.86 per cent in the night shows on day 1. Whereas, Vijay Sethupathi's Viduthalai 2 earned Rs 7 crore on Friday and Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 collected Rs 13.75 crore. 

About Mufasa The Lion King 

The story revolves around the life of an orphaned cub Mufasa who meets a sympathetic lion named Taka. It sets a journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destinies. Shah Rukh Khan’s sons, Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan have also lent their voices to the film.
