Munawar Faruqui's personal life has become a subject of discussion, both within and outside the Bigg Boss 17 house. He faced various allegations and was labeled as a 'womaniser.' Following his victory on Salman Khan's show, Munawar expressed that he is still trying to understand whether he has a commitment phobia or not. In the show, wildcard contestant Ayesha Khan accused him of simultaneously being in a relationship with both his girlfriend, Nazila Sitaishi and herself.

Speaking about the same, he told ETimes, "I am quite focused and sorted in many aspects of my life. However, mentally and in terms of relationships, the past year didn’t go well for me. It was probably around that time that I had to enter the Bigg Boss house. Timeline ki wajah se thodi cheezein hui. Main agar unko pehle se better rakhta ya handle kar leta… par maine kahiin na kahiin unn cheezon ko time diya thinking those would eventually sort out. You are right in saying that proving closure is essential. I do feel I couldn’t handle them as well as my responsibility demanded. I will definitely work on improving this aspect of myself."

Munawar clarified that he is not a womaniser and has professionally collaborated with numerous women in the past, stressing that who have worked with him can attest to the respectful and comfortable environment he created. He expressed disagreement with the labels that have been attached to him, stating that his future actions will likely disappoint those expressing negative sentiments.

He said, "It’s not like that. I have collaborated with many women professionally, and they can vouch for how comfortable I made them feel and I treated them with great respect. I am not like what I am made out to be. It’s just the one girl that everyone knows about. I don’t agree with these labels, and my future actions will certainly disappoint those who are expressing hate."
